NEW FLICKER COMING IN EARLY 2010

Our next Flicker NYC Super 8 event will be a programmed show of new Super 8 films. Date TBA.

Submissions are currently open for this show, so please send in your film, or shoot one especially for the show. Entry is free with the following criteria: the film must have been shot on Super 8 film (but can be shown on video) and the film must be 18 minutes or less. More details on submission here.

OUR LAST SHOW:

"The Atttack of the Fifty-Foot Reels"

Friday, October 9, 2009 at 7:30pm - $7

"Attack of the Fifty-Foot Reels" is a show of brand new Super 8 movies-- so new that the filmmakers themselves won't have seen their films until they unspool in front of our audience.

Each participating filmmaker has shot a movie specifically for this event on a single fifty-foot roll of Super 8 film, all edits in camera. These rolls are processed two days before the show but not seen until they screen with the audience and attending filmmakers Friday night at the Brooklyn Lyceum. The films are accompanied by music, live dialogue, or live sound effects provided by the filmmaker. I hope you join us for this exciting experiment in Super 8 moviemaking!
